Animation Software

• I've played around with a few pieces of software which will allow you to create animations:

Pivot Stick Figure.

• The program allows students to manipulate a stick figure and take snaps after each movement. When these snaps are played back the figure appears to move.
• Initially this program may seem simplistic but before you underestimate it's ability have a look at some of the samples that come with it.
• Another great thing about Pivot Stick Figure is that even really young students get it.

Tales Animator.

• Another free program that lets you manipulate characters to create an animation.
• I'm still experimenting with this one but it looks like it has potential.
